An interlinear Bible is one where the translated English is shown with the original Greek or Hebrew. Such Bibles aren’t translations themselves but provide insight into translation choices and original meanings or nuances, and assist in word studies. Because an interlinear Bible maintains the original-language word order, with the English shown below it, it makes the English much less easily readable. However there are also Reverse Interlinear Bibles, which shows the English above and the original below, while maintaining the English word order instead of the Greek or Hebrew.
