Certain courses may be selected to be used as supplemental courses to a student’s regular schooling for grades 3-8. French courses and music appreciation video course also available for enrichment. Students may enroll on the Internet, via the Calvert School website.

Curriculum

Uses a traditional approach covering the fundamental subjects and additional cultural studies. Each course is issued only as a full unit . Courses are not alterable in any way. Materials are secular but not offensive to most Christian users.

Structure

Planned for a school year of about 9 months and normally requires a daily schedule of 3 1/2 to 5 hours, depending on the student and the grade.

Teaching Helps

Calvert supplies a specially prepared instructional manual with every course. Upper elementary children can often work quite independently following the notes in the instructional manual.

Records

Calvert will furnish records only if the student is using the Advisory Teaching Service.
