The ND Department of Public Instruction offers 156 middle and high school courses in both required and elective subject areas. Curriculum is classified as general academic. Required are: Language arts (4 units), Social Studies (3), Math (2), Lab Science (2), P.E. (1), Electives (7).
- Structure
Requires minimal help by parents. Students taking courses for credit must have a certified teacher for a supervisor.
- Teaching Helps
Many courses are supplemented with videotapes, audiocassettes, and computer disks. Twenty-five courses are available over the world-wide web.
- Records
Students who meet the Division’s graduation requirements are issued an accredited high school diploma from the Division.
