Workers in Center Operations keep the buildings used by SIL in good condition. We make sure staff can use each center the way they need to use it.
SIL has a few large centers, such as in Papua New Guinea and Cameroon, plus some smaller centers. The U.S. has two large centers, one in Dallas and another in Waxhaw, North Carolina.
But some local communities don’t have the offices and housing that SIL needs to do its work. So, in these places, SIL sets up its own buildings, but we don’t have to do this as often as we used to.
As a Center Operations staff member, you can take training courses in-house and online. You’ll work closely with staff in Construction and Maintenance. Guest house manager and center administrator are just two of the possible roles in Center Operations.
So, if you have experience in hospitality or general management, we’ve got a Center for you.
