SIL works across cultures and countries. Staff need to secure their information and analyze data. They need to tell the stories of how God is moving among minority-language people. Some places don’t have enough power or internet access. But the Bible translators and language development workers in these places need technology, too.
That’s where IT Services comes in. IT Services staff are passionate professionals. The right tools and infrastructure are critical for translation, literacy and linguistic work. We produce technology that makes SIL’s work easier and more efficient. We also protect and manage technology. SIL staff who use technology get help from us, and we support the team producing SIL’s software products.
