Curriculum: Based on K-8 learning standards developed by a US state public school system. French is taught daily K-8. The Stanford 9 Achievement Test is given annually. AISL serves as a testing center for the Educational Testing Service. CO-CURRICULAR activities include drama, music, excursions/expeditions; baseball, basketball, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball. Facilities:The school occupies an air-conditioned villa bordering the Atlantic Ocean in the central section of Libreville, within .5 km of the American Embassy.
