Curriculum: In addition to core subjects, all students attend classes in music, art, physical education, and computers. Students in grades K-12 have daily French classes with an emphasis on conversational skills. ESL and learning difficulties are catered to by qualified staff. The international curriculum is enhanced by the best educational practices from around the world including the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. They offer the Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP), and Diploma Program (DP). Tests offered are ACT, PSAT, SAT, CTP III.
Co-Curricular: Science & Inventor’s Fair, Book Month, Social Studies Fair, Art & Music, Dakar Schools WAIST, West African Invitational Softball Tournament, musical and drama performances. Facilities: ISD is located on 4 acres on the outskirts of Dakar. The campus includes a library, science lab, two computer centers, art and music rooms, two playgrounds, and a multi-purpose gymnasium situated around an attractive soccer playing field. Students have access to tennis, swimming, basketball and other sports. In addition to having school guards at the school’s entrance, the campus is secured by a perimeter wall.
