Kathmandu International Study Centre

Curriculum: Class 1-3 (11-13 years) curriculum is broad core, to suit the needs of the multi-national group of students attending. Virtually all students study French or German as a foreign language; all study Nepali. For each national group, a current events & social studies program is provided; religious ed and PE are required. Exam Boards: CIE, IGCSE, ‘AS/A’ Level. CO-CURRICULAR: An annual trek into the Himalayas for a week for some class groups; cultural investigation of the Kathmandu Valley; village stay and work exploration; sporting exchanges with other schools; social skills and relationship programs. FACILITIES include three buildings and a number of smaller ones; each class has a large room and smaller rooms for group work; large library with audio/visual equipment and more, computer room, sports facilities for soccer, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, and fitness training.
