Course Description

Studies show that mentoring is one of the most effective tools for developing people. Mentoring relationships create the best environment for holistic, sustainable, competency-based learning. A mentoring program has many benefits for both the individual and the organization. The Introduction to Mentoring course is an 18-hour module; the first course in a series of two to hone mentoring skills. This introductory course covers the basic concepts of mentoring in our personal, professional and organizational contexts. The second course will focus much more on the practice of mentoring where participants will be mentored to develop their skills while serving as mentors to others.
