Technology is imbedded in every day life and most families have multiple devices available to engage in work and entertainment. What kind of impact does technology have on your children’s experience? Online access can come with risks including identity theft, computer viruses, and online predators, but it also opens the world of information. Today’s generation of children are more tech-savvy than their parents, yet they lack the discernment of an adult. What parameters should kids have as they engage with apps, online programs, and social media? What can parents do guide their children, whether this is at home or visiting other families/kids? How can families make use of technology without technology dominating the family?

Enough is Enough. This site has explanations for internet dangers and an “Internet Safety Rules ‘N’ Tools” section that gives tips for how to guard against the dangers. This site actually hosts most of its material on Internet Safety 101, but it is easier to find some of the resources on this site.
