Lectio365 – App Review

This review is written at the time of the COVID crisis, in 2020, when there has been a significant increase in daily structured time with God. The Lectio365 app’s use has increased significantly during this time. The app is a great way of being quiet (still), having a time in the word and bringing our day to God. At the time of writing, it uses a simple 4 part method based on the acronym P.R.A.Y.- Pausing, Rejoicing/Reflecting, Asking and Yielding to God. The App has been generated out of the 24/7 prayer movement and is well done. I also like that it ensures you take your time (most days it takes 12 mins with suggestions to pause and pray leading to me taking about 20 mins each day). The scriptures are also spoken, so it’s great to have the option of listening or reading. 

I have found this really helpful as a change from my usual all-reading ( and rushed! ) quiet time.
